Ludhiana March 15 The Ladhowal police today arrested one person on the charges of stealing a motorcycle. The accused has been identified as Pawaandeep Singh a resident of Basant Vihar. He was intercepted at a naka at Nurpur Bet towards Ladhowal. He has been charged under Sections 379 and 411 of the IPC. In another case Meena a resident of near Nirmal Akal Bunga Sahib gurudwara today registered a complaint that her mobile phone was snatched by motorcycle-borne duo. She told the police that her phone was stolen from main GT Road while she was talking to somebody over the phone. “Two people on a bike came from behind and snatched my phone and fled towards the Transport Nagar side” she said in her complaint. The two bike-borne accused have been identified as Ajay Kumar resident of Vadda Gurudwara Dhandari Kalan and Bablu a resident of Prince Nagar Dhandari. They have been booked under Sections 379-B and 34 of the IPC. In another snatching incident Asha Rani a resident of Phase II GK Estate in Mundian Kalan fell victim to two motorcycle-borne persons who snatched her gold chain. In her complaint the woman said she was sitting on a bench outside her house with her husband when the duo snatched her chain and fled. — OC
