Covid-19 cases are rising with every passing day in the Industrial hub. Ludhiana received 568 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday while 10 deaths have been recorded in the city.
A total of 568 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Ludhiana on Wednesday; of this 489 cases were related to the Ludhiana district while 79 cases were from other districts and states. At the same time, 6 deaths were related to Ludhiana out of the total 10 deaths.
So far, 40433 positive Covid-19 cases have been in the district. At the same time, 1221 people have died. The number of active cases in the district has reached 3500.
Ludhiana is receiving close to 500 cases every day in April, on Tuesday 480 people were found positive for Covid-19.
Cases have increased three times, while deaths have multiplied by four times in the district.
Covid-19 is growing at a much faster rate in the Ludhiana district, within 13 days in April, 5554 people have been found Covid-19 positive, while the number of cases stood at 1520 in the first 13 days of March. It is clear from the data that Corona cases have tripled in April.
At the same time, the figure for deaths has also increased four times compared to March. On March, 21 infected succumbed in 13 days, while now in April, 72 infected succumbed in 13 days.
