Sathiyapriya seeks bail

R. Sathiyapriya, the alleged second wife of B. Ramasamy, has moved the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court seeking anticipatory bail. He had alleged that his daughter from his first wife was subjected to torture by Sathiyapriya. Refuting the claims, Sathiyapriya said that she always treated her step-daughter as her own daughter. She said that she was a law abiding citizen and would cooperate with the investigation. She claimed that it was an ill-motivated complaint made by Ramasamy, who is married to Rajya Sabha MP Sasikala Pushpa, to escape from the clutches of law.

Sathiyapriya, in her petition, said that she had been falsely implicated as an accused by the Delhi police on the charges of Section 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and Section 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC, Section 75 (cruelty) Juvenile Justice Act, 2015, and Section 12 (harassment) POSCO Act. She claimed that it was an ill-motivated complaint made by Ramasamy, who is married to Rajya Sabha MP Sasikala Pushpa, to escape from the clutches of law. He had alleged that his daughter from his first wife was subjected to torture by Sathiyapriya. Refuting the claims, Sathiyapriya said that she always treated her step-daughter as her own daughter.
