Thoothukudi firing: Commission resumes inquiry

THOOTHUKUDISeven of the eight persons summoned by the Aruna Jagadeesan Commission of Inquiry, appointed to investigate the anti-Sterlite agitation, during which 13 persons were killed in police firing, appeared before the Commission on Monday. The Commission Chairperson would be in Thoothukudi till Thursday for conducting inquiries with the injured persons and families of the deceased. Nearly 26 persons appeared before the Commission in August and September. The Commission has issued summons to 33 persons during the third round of inquiry.
