The judicial officers went around the temple complex which spreads on a five-acre land. During inspection, the officials raised concern over the poor state of the temple tank, Lakshmi Theertham. Interaction with temple officials revealed that the tank was last desilted at least 10 years back. The tank required immediate attention and should be desilted to make it clean though it had rain harvesting facility, the CJM told the officials. The devotees complained that lack of maintenance of the open space had led to a decline in number of peafowl coming to the area.
