FIR registered over KSOU MCom question paper leak; police conducts search at campus

Mysuru: Mysuru city police have registered a FIR against unknown persons following question paper leak of MCom (final year) of the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU). Following the incident, the police conducted searches at the university campus in the city and carried out an investigation. They collected documents related to the examination section. We have registered a FIR and launched an investigation, police said. According to the sources, miscreants were allegedly selling the question papers after collecting money via UPI. A candidate lodged the police complaint with the payment details and the question paper he received from the miscreants.The police visited the campus and collected information, said KSOU registrar KLN MurthyShowcause notice issuedMeanwhile, the KSOU authorities issued a showcause notice to the University Permanent Teachers Association secretary Jagadeesh Babu HK, a whistleblower, over raising various charges of corruption in the university. In the showcause notice issued by registrar KLN Murthy, it has been alleged that Babu made baseless allegations against the University authorities. It has been informed that his statements on media and social media are affecting the Universitys name and fame. Babu, who is head of the department of political science, has been given seven days time to furnish his reply.However, Babu denied the allegations.
