Nashik: The Azadnagar police in Malegaon arrested two men and seized different sedative medicines worth over Rs 10,000 from them.The suspects have been identified as Ibrahim Shah Akbar Shah (45), a rickshaw driver from Surat, and Arif Khan Bashir Khan (42) of Malegaon.Around 2pm on Wednesday, the police, based on a tip off, frisked the two men in the Nehru Chowk area of Malegaon and found different boxes of sedatives in their possession.The Azadnagar police registered a complaint against them under sections 22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, and IPC sections 328 and 276.The police said the accused were found carrying the psychotropic drugs without a purchase bill or doctors prescription.
