Direct flights from Nashik to Delhi, Bengaluru soon

Nashik: Private airline IndiGo at a press conference (confirm) on Sunday said that it has plans to start direct flights from Nashik to Delhi and Bengaluru, shortly.The airline is also exploring possibilities to start air cargo from Nashik.Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IndiGo, told the media, The airline is buying more aircrafts. Considering the air service potentials from Nashik, we also have plans to connect Nashik with more cities in the future.This will be done gradually in phases.The airline started flights from Nashik to four cities (Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Nagpur and Goa) in March this year. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has approved a schedule of 2,336 weekly flights by 80 foreign airlines, offering 5.9 lakh seats per week. The number of Indian cities with international flights remains at 23, and the number of countries with direct flights from foreign airlines has increased to 50. Several airlines will start or restart flights to India this winter, while some will not be operating. The winter schedule is effective from October 29, 2023, to March 30, 2024.IndiGo commences operations from SalemIndiGo has started operating in Salem, making it the 82nd domestic and 114th overall destination in their network. The airline will offer daily flights to Chennai from October 29, and four times a week flights to Hyderabad and Bengaluru from October 30. This move aims to improve interstate accessibility, promote economic growth, and align with the regional connectivity schemes objectives. IndiGo aims to provide customers with affordable, on-time, and hassle-free travel experiences, while also boosting tourism and trade in the region.
