4 inmates who fled from Sangamner sub-jail nabbed

Nashik: The Ahmednagar police have arrested the four undertrials who had escaped from the Sangamner sub-jail on Wednesday morning. Two more persons, who helped them escape, have also been arrested. The Sangamner police said the four undertrials – Rahul Kale, Roshan Dalel, Anand Dhale and Macchindra Jadhav — were arrested from Jamner in Jalgaon district.almost 300 km away. The police seized the car in which they escaped and also arrested the car driver and his associate for helping the undertrials escape.On Wednesday, at around 6.45am, the undertrials had allegedly cut three rods on the door of the barrack in which they were lodged and escaped. Soon after, the teams local crime branch of the Ahmednagar police launched a manhunt for the four undertrials under the guidance of SP Rakesh Ola.The teams visited the sub-jail and scanned the CCTV footage around the premises. They found that the undertrials had escaped in a car that was waiting for them after escaping from the jail. On studying the crime spot and doing technical analysis, the police traced the location and arrested them from Jamner in Jalgaon. Senior police officials said they were interrogating the undertrials and more information about how they hatched the plan to escape and who helped them in the execution would be known soon. The undertrials made a space of about 2-ft long and 1.5-ft wide by cutting the rods to slither through the barrack door. The escape happened when workers were absent due to the ongoing wall painting. The three boys, who were arrested for burglary in October, are still at large. Similar incidents have occurred in the past, and raids are being conducted to find them. The reform center currently houses over 80 juveniles.
