Third case registered against Karda

Nashik: A resident of Nashik Road has registered a complaint against Naresh Karda, now in magisterial custody, for allegedly cheating him of Rs18.4 lakh after promising a flat.The complainant alleged that in March this year he entered into an agreement with Naresh Karda who offered him a flat on the fifth floor of Hari Krishna Phase 4. The victim paid him about Rs 18.4 lakh over a period.He took a loan for the remaining amount.The victim claimed that despite having paid the money, he was not given the flat. He said he also came to know that flat was auctioned by finance company, which financed the project, without his knowledge. The DDA is considering options such as computerized drawing lots and first-come-first-serve for the sale of the flats. The authority may also conduct an e-auction for the 14 penthouses in Sector 19B, Dwarka. The details and prices of the flats will be uploaded on the DDAs website, and the sales process will begin soon.Stray bullet smashes glass window of flat in AundhThe Chatushrungi police are investigating a case where a stray bullet hit the window of a 10th-floor flat in Pune. No one was injured in the incident. The flat belongs to a South Korean couple and their daughter. The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and Arms Act. They are examining CCTV footage to identify the person responsible for firing the bullet.
