76-year-old cheated of gold chain worth 76,000

Nashik: Three unidentified people cheated a 76-year-old person of his gold chain worth over Rs 75,000 on Friday.The complainant, Nivrutti Narkhede, a resident of Amrutdham area, stated that he was walking towards Bidi Kamgarnagar on Friday at around 6am, when three people travelling by a car, stopped near him and started talking to him. Narkhede said that the men struck a conversation with him on the pretext of asking an address and manipulated the complainant into handing them his gold chain and fled. Narkhede then registered an FIR with the Adgaon policefor the offences punishable under sections 420(cheating) and 34(common intention) of the IPC against the unidentified men. Police said that they are checking the CCTVs in the area to identify the vehicle and the criminals.
