Man killed after cracker fight, 6 held

Nashik: A 31-year-old man was allegedly killed by a group of 10 people at Pathardi Phata at 11pm on Tuesday, following an argument over bursting of crackers near the house of the deceased, the Indiranagar police said. The Indiranagar police said that six people have been arrested, while they are looking for four people (including a minor) who were allegedly involved in the murder. The police said that on Tuesday, Akhade asked them to burst crackers at some other place after which the group of people assaulted the victim with sharp weapons. He was rushed to the hospital and later transferred to Delhis Safdarjung hospital where his hand was amputated. This incident highlights the use of powdered elements to make crackers as a new method adopted by youngsters to bypass pollution restrictions.Car ploughs into group bursting crackers on road in Noida, 8-year-old girl among 3 injuredThree people, including an eight-year-old girl, were injured in two separate accidents on Diwali night in Noida. In both incidents, cars collided with individuals who were bursting crackers by the roadside. The drivers involved in the accidents have been arrested. The injured individuals were admitted to the hospital, with the girl being in stable condition and the other two suffering from multiple fractures and head injuries. Videos of both accidents have been circulating on social media.
