Nashik: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Wednesday alleged that state cabinet minister from Malegaon Dada Bhuse was instrumental in putting Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Advay Hiray behind bars. Although Raut did not mention Bhuses name, he said, The minister from Malegaon hatched a conspiracy to send the UBT leader to jail. Speaking to reporters during his visit to Nashik on Wednesday, Raut said he had come to meet Hirays family members.I will definitely go to Malegaon after Hiray is released. I also have some court related work there along with some programme planned by the party, he said.A state-level meeting of Sena (UBT) is being planned in Nashik city next month and it will be attended by party chief Uddhav Thackeray. I also had to discuss the issue about this meeting in Nashik city with the party office-bearers, he added. Raut, while commenting on public meetings of Maratha activist Manoj Jarange, said he is holding meetings across the state and getting huge response. His supporters claim that his arrest is politically motivated and accuse Nashik guardian minister Dada Bhuse of being responsible. The police have filed a complaint against 30 people, including Hiray, for defaulting on a loan of Rs 7.4 crore. The total amount payable has now increased to Rs 32 crore. Hirays arrest has triggered a political dispute between Sena UBT and Shiv Sena, as UBT plans to field him as a candidate in the upcoming assembly elections.Maratha quota protests: Shiv Sena (UBT) delegation meets President Droupadi MurmuA delegation from the Shiv Sena (UBT) party, led by MP Sanjay Raut, met with President Droupadi Murmu to discuss the ongoing protests over reservations for the Maratha and Dhangar communities. They requested that the President direct the center to amend the constitution in order to increase the reservation beyond the current 50% cap. Raut stated that the issue cannot be resolved by the state government and that it is up to the center and Parliament to address the matter. President Murmu assured the delegation that she will look into the issue.Chhagan Bhujbal fuelling tension between Marathas and OBCs, says JarangeMaratha activist Manoj Jarange has accused Maharashtra minister Chhagan Bhujbal of trying to create tension between Marathas and the OBC community. Jarange called on the chief minister and deputy chief ministers to monitor Bhujbals activities and urged them to ensure he remains silent. Jarange also claimed that Bhujbal wants to become the chief minister and that if he does, Marathas will not receive reservation. Jarange stated that Marathas should be included in the OBC quota and that the community does not want separate reservation.
