Murmu visits Shani temple in Ahmednagar

Nashik: President Droupadi Murmu visited the Shani Shingnapur temple in Nevasa taluka of Ahmednagar district on Thursday.Murmu performed pooja of Lord Shani at the temple.She landed at a helipad in Nevasa on Thursday morning, where she was received by Governor Ramesh Bais, Ahmednagar and Nashik guardian ministers Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil and Dada Bhuse, respectively.Then, President Murmu came to the Shaneshwar Temple and paid her obeisance to Lord Shani.She was welcomed at the temple by the president of Shri Shaneshwar Devasthan, Shanishingnapur.We briefed the president about the greatness of the temple and the tradition. Following this, she carried out the rituals for worshipping the Lord Shani, including the Tail-Abhishek," said Devasthans president. Krishnamurthy visited the Rashtrapati Bhavan to facilitate her in changing her voter ID address from Odisha to Delhi. Murmu, who hails from Odisha, was sworn in as the 15th President of India on July 25 last year.Women cadets will take country, NDA to new heights: President Droupadi MurmuPresident Murmu reviews the Passing Out Parade (POP) of the 145th course at the NDA, making a specific mention of the participation of women cadets for the first time. She congratulates the women cadets and expresses confidence in their future. The first batch of 19 women cadets at the NDA, part of the 148th course, will pass out in May 2025. President Murmu also lays the foundation stone for the 5th battalion building. She emphasizes the importance of protecting Indias borders and internal security.
