MNS to contest Nashik Lok Sabha seat

Nashik: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has asked the local unit of the party to start preparations for contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Nashik seat.A local MNS leader, while talking to TOI, said they have started conducting meetings in all the wards of the six divisions across the city. According to him, the party chief is likely to visit Nashik early in January to hold meetings with the party workers.Partys state chief secretary Kishore Shinde, who is also the liaison chief of the party for Nashik, held one-on-one meetings with the office-bearers and workers of the party in view of the coming Lok Sabha, state assembly and civic polls. He also held discussions with the aspirants willing to contest the upcoming polls, the leader said.We have been told by our party chief to focus on the Nashik seat for the Lok Sabha elections. Accordingly, we have started making preparations to strengthen the party base in Nashik.
