The raids were also conducted at several other places in Patna, Delhi, Dhanbad and Varanasi.In Patna, I-T officials raided the Digha residence of Subhash and the three other flats owned by him in Ma Marichia Devi complex near Saguna Mor and claimed to have found documents of several properties.Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi had earlier alleged that Subhash purchased properties worth several crores from Lalu’s wife and former CM Rabri Devi. SuMo, who was then the leader of opposition in the legislative council, had alleged that Subhash on June 13 bought three flats worth Rs1.72 crore from Rabri, who owned 18 flats in Ma Marichia Devi Complex named after Lalu’s mother Marichia Devi.Sources said Subhash is the director of Broadson Commodities Private Limited and Banshidhar Construction Private Limited. His wife Lalti Devi is the director of Radha Raman Construction and Marketing Private Limited. All such firms are directly or indirectly involved in sand mining.According to the registration documents provided by SuMo, one flat worth Rs52.76 lakh at the complex was registered in the name of Broadson limited. The second flat cost him Rs58.03 lakh and was registered in the name of Banshidhar Construction Private Limited the same day. The third flat for Rs61.82 lakh was also registered with Rabri as the seller and Radha Raman private limited as the buyer.Sources said the three firms owned by Subhash were given licences by the Grand Alliance government of RJD, JD(U) and Congress to mine sand in a stretch worth Rs237 crore in Patna, Bhojpur, Saran, Vaishali, Jehanabad and Arwal districts.Nonetheless, RJD claimed the raids were conducted out of political vendetta. “The raids were conducted as per conspiracy hatched by SuMo.
