Bihar: Child shot in head over 'plucking mangoes'

“None had any enmity with Satyam or his family,” he said adding police were investigating the matter from all angles. The SHO said that Makuni had also told police that one Saurav Kumar (18) was also at the orchard who was also evading arrest.“No empty cartridge or any firearm was recovered from spot. PATNA: In a hair raising incident, a 10-year-old child was shot in head inside a mango orchard at village Pathraha under Gogri police station area in Khagaria district on Thursday allegedly over a petty dispute for plucking mangoes.Gogri police station SHO Deepak Kumar Yadav said that the child was identified as Satyam Kumar who was a native of Shergarh, a neighbouring village of Pathraha.“Satyam’s father Makuni Yadav (38) had alleged that his child was shot dead over dispute of plucking mangoes,” SHO Yadav said.He said that Satyam along with some other children had went inside the orchard when the incident took place.“All others from the spot fled immediately and someone informed the villagers following which police were informed,” he said.He said that Makuni had alleged that the orchard watchman Ramashish Yadav alias Rama Yadav (43) was the prime accused in killing of Satyam.Yadav said that raid was conducted at Ramashish’s residence but he was evading arrest.
