GAYA: A middle-aged woman and a mother of four grown-up children, including a married daughter, killed her husband and buried the body inside the mud house at Hadsadi village under Barachatti police station area of the district. The deceased has been identified as Baso Turi and his wife as Jamuni Devi, who has been arrested.The incident took place on July 10 and the highly decomposed body was dug out from a three feet deep pit around a week later on Monday. According to reports reaching the district headquarters, illicit relation with a fellow villager was said to have prompted the woman to execute the murder plan.According to sources, Jamuni's husband Baso was in Jaipur jail for the last many years facing charges of killing one of his cousins. Baso and his cousin worked in Jailur, Rajasthan and the former suspected an affair between his cousin and his wife. He was subsequently found guilty and awarded a 14-year-long jail term on murder charge in the case. After completing his jail term, Baso returned to his village home a few months back.Sources claimed that during her husband's long absence, Jamuni established an illicit relation with a fellow villager, who became the de facto family head in Turi’s absence.Jamuni is alleged to have poured poison in Baso’s illicitly brewed drink. The poison, originally used to kill rats did not prove effective enough to cause the recipient's death. The wife, determined to see his end is alleged to have strangulated him and buried the body in a ditch inside the home.None of her four children were at home when the incident took place.
