Six years are the various types of remissions given to the convicts inside jails.Earlier, the state government had ordered for remitting sentence of 74 convicts serving life imprisonment on June 12 this year.Before remission of sentence, a stern internal inquiry is made about the conduct of inmates inside the jail along with a report from SPs of the districts concerned that the prisoner’s release would not affect the peace in that area.
