‘Thief’ lynched in Nawada district, 3 arrested

PATNA: A suspected thief was beaten to death by bamboos sticks, bricks and iron rods by a mob in Nawada district The incident occurred on Monday-Tuesday night when Rupan Manjhi (20) allegedly broke into a house at Lavarpur village under the Hisua police station area. “Manjhi was caught and thrashed,” he said.On getting information, police reached the spot and took Manjhi to the hospital where he died. Three of them fled when the family members raised an alarm. He succumbed to his injuries in course of treatment at the primary health centre at Hisua on Tuesday.Police have arrested Sanjay Rajvanshi, Mithilesh Rajvanshi and Mahender Rajvanshi, in whose house Manjhi had allegedly entered, in this connection.Hisua police station SHO Rajdeo Sao said four people had allegedly entered the house with an intention to commit theft.
