PATNA: Police seized two rifles, including an illegal semi-automatic one, 60 live cartridges and Rs 7.49 lakh in cash from residences of independent MLA Anant Singh’s close associate Bhushan Singh and one of his (Bhushan’s) relatives at Ladma village under the Barh police station area in Patna district on Friday.Barh ASP Lipi Singh said apart from the semi-automatic rifle , which is believed to be of foreign origin, the other was a regular .315 bore rifle.“The semi-automatic rifle, its 28 live cartridges and the entire cash were recovered from Bhushan’s residence, while the regular rifle and 32 cartridges were seized from the house of his relative,” she said.The ASP said the raid was conducted after one Raushan Singh (50) lodged an FIR with Barh police station on Thursday, accusing Bhushan of threatening him with dire consequences if he did not return to the camp of the independent MLA.“Raushan alleged that Bhushan reached his house on Wednesday and threatened him to join Anant Singh’s camp soon,” she said, adding Raushan was earlier an associate of the independent MLA.“Bhushan is accused in at least 19 criminal cases, including rape, murder and extortion.
