400 students take part in mock earthquake drill

First division holders, who passed their classes X and XII examinations last year, were awarded medals and certificates of appreciation at the function. PATNA: At least 400 students participated in a mock earthquake drill conducted by the Bihar State Disaster Management Authority (BSDMA) at Anugrah Narayan College on Wednesday.The collegians learned about earthquake safety measures, pre-hospital treatment, blood control techniques, movement of victims to safer places and preparation of improvised rafts.Addressing the students, BSDMA vice-chairman Vyasji talked about ways to safeguard themselves during a natural disaster.College principal Shashi Pratap Shahi, teachers and non-teaching staff were also present on the occasion.IGNOU: Indira Gandhi National Open University-Patna (IGNOU) in association with Magadh Educational and Development Institute organized two promotional meetings in government senior secondary schools at Jalla and Khusrupur on Wednesday.IGNOU regional director Abhilash Nayak and assistant regional director Asif Iqbal interacted with the students.
