BPSC: Bihar Judicial Services petition to Supreme Court for postponement of proposed exam on 7th October

A group of candidates has filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking the postponement of Bihar Judicial Service`s proposed examination on 7 October.

BPSC Bihar Judicial Services Exam 2020: A group of candidates has filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking the postponement of Bihar Judicial Service`s proposed examination on 7 October. This petition, filed on behalf of 13 candidates, sought to postpone the examination citing the corona epidemic.

The petitioners say, `Notification of online registration for recruitment of 221 posts of Junior Grade / Judicial Magistrate by Bihar Public Service Commission within the stipulated time is wrong, dictatorial and unnecessary.

On behalf of the petitioners, it was said that completion of online application process within the time limit in this period of Mahamaari is a violation of fundamental rights. This exam is proposed to be held on 7 October 2020.

The petition said, "This notification violates equality of opportunity. It violates the rights of thousands of candidates. It violates the rights given in Articles 14, 16 and 19 of the Constitution."

The petition sought to postpone the examination. The petition has been filed by advocate Arvind Gupta and will be debated by advocate Rajiv Ranjan.
