In a significant development, Bihar`s Chief Minister and JD (U) President, Nitish Kumar, has reportedly confirmed his decision to leave the grand alliance for the second time and join the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). This marks his fourth transition between political alliances in just over a decade.

Confirmed reports indicate a brewing disagreement within the current JDU-RJD alliance, with Nitish Kumar poised to align with the NDA, paving the way for the formation of a new government in the state.

In a series of separate meetings held on Thursday night, both JDU and RJD leaders deliberated on the unfolding political scenario, solidifying the speculation of a major political realignment. Former Bihar Deputy CM Sushil Modi underscored the openness of the BJP to Nitish Kumar`s return, stating that the "doors never closed" for him.

Bihar`s political drama escalated with BJP`s Bihar in-charge, Vinod Tawde, placing blame on the Congress for the imminent "break up" of Nitish Kumar with the opposition India bloc. Tawde, in town to attend a party meeting, remarked, "We wonder if Congress leader Rahul Gandhi`s `Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra` has become an INDIA alliance todo (break up) Yatra. It has caused Mamata Banerjee to break up. Now the same is being done to Nitish."

While some existing alliance partners, including VIP and LJP, express discontent with recent events, others like HAM are content with the unfolding development, adding another layer of complexity to Bihar`s political landscape. However, reports also suggest that some BJP leaders in Bihar are not content with the ongoing developments, indicating potential internal discord within the party.

Amidst this political upheaval, there are indications that Tejasvi from RJD might call for elections prior to the scheduled terms and will ensure turbulence continue, intensifying the uncertainty and setting the stage for a potentially early electoral battle.

The Bihar Chief Minister`s expressed dissatisfaction with the INDIA bloc due to a perceived lack of a prominent position in the top leadership of the alliance, despite his extensive political experience, has fueled the groundwork for this decisive move.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah convened a crucial meeting with Bihar BJP president Samrat Choudhary, alongside other key leaders like Sushil Modi and Vijay Kumar Sinha in Delhi. The discussions confirm Nitish Kumar`s potential return to the NDA, although the specific conditions for this move remain undisclosed.

As this news solidifies, Bihar stands at the forefront of a major political reshaping. Nitish Kumar`s imminent switch, combined with internal discord within the JDU-RJD alliance, reported discontent within some sections of the BJP, and the possibility of early elections, underscores the fluid nature of alliances and rivalries in the state. Stay tuned for further updates as Bihar navigates this transformative chapter in its political narrative.
