Now private buses will run from ISBT from tomorrow

From June 15, buses of Nalanda, Nawada, Sheikhpura, and Jamui will operate from Pataliputra Bus Terminal ISBT Bairia.

From June 15, buses of Nalanda, Nawada, Sheikhpura, and Jamui will operate from Pataliputra Bus Terminal ISBT Bairia. This major preparation is being done in the second phase. At the administrative level, a plan has been prepared and a system has been made.

On Sunday, the officers have also inspected. DM Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh has given instructions to operate buses from ISBT.

Under the second phase, the preparations for starting the bus service for the 4 districts are almost complete. For this, a meeting has also been held in ISBT with the transport representatives.

In the meeting, discussions have been held on passenger facilities including parking system, counter system, service station, ferry service, traffic system, toilets, drinking water. Work is being done on this after taking necessary suggestions and information about the problem from the representatives.

DM has also directed the District Transport Officer to ensure necessary arrangements by coordinating with the transport representatives.

It has been planned that along with private buses, government buses of that district will also operate from ISBT. City buses will operate from the Bankipur bus stand only.

A better and modern facility has been provided in ISBT than the Mithapur bus stand which will be beneficial for the passengers and bus owners.

Mithapur Bus Stand is spread over 8 acres whereas ISBT is spread over 25 acres in which necessary facilities have been provided by constructing a building in 10 acres. There is a parking arrangement for buses in about 11 acres.

The administration plans to completely shift the Mithapur bus stand to the Patliputra bus stand by July 2021.

The district administration is fully engaged while working on this goal. Earlier, the District Magistrate has directed to take special care of passenger facilities.

DM says that the ferry service will be started from Mithapur to ISBT so that there is no inconvenience to the passengers. For this, there is a plan to start two buses of Bihar State Road Transport Corporation which will travel between Mithapur to Bairia.

Apart from this, there is also a system of a city bus, auto service for the movement of passengers.

Instructions have been given to fix the district-wise site for parking of buses at the terminal. For this, the District Transport Officer has been asked to mark the district-wise parking by coordinating with the transport representatives.

According to the demand of the transport representatives, the District Magistrate has been directed to arrange ticket counters in the base and to set up service stations for cleaning and washing of buses.

Apart from this, the buses at the terminal have been instructed to collect octroi only once for 24 hours for a month.

A committee has been constituted for arrangements at the terminal, which includes Additional Collector Revenue, District Transport Officer, BUDCO officials, representatives of Transport Union, representatives of Auto Union.

Many other points including parking, counter, ferry service, service station, traffic system, toilets, drinking water have been brainstormed, now work is on to shift Mithapur Bus Terminal completely to ISBT by July 2021.
