PATNA: Union minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey on Monday claimed that the state government was spreading rumours that it was giving jobs to youths. "Instead, the government is killing the rights of Bihar youths by allowing candidates from other states, including UP, to take examinations for jobs in the state," he said."Constitutionally, I am with it, but giving jobs to aspirants from other states, including UP, is akin to killing the rights of Bihar youths. Steps should have been taken to secure a proportion of posts for job seekers from Bihar," said Choubey, while talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of a function held at Adhiveshan Bhavan here to give central jobs to 319 selected candidates as part of the promise of PM Modi.Taking a dig at the grand alliance government that also has the RJD, Choubey said, "Instead of giving jobs, the state government is putting lathis in the hands of youths." Countering deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadavs statement that UP government is only creating rift between Hindus and Muslims and using bulldozers, Choubey said, "UP will have grand Ram temple by January next year." "What Choubey has said is aimed at only pleasing his partys high command. He is practising sycophancy," state JDU spokesman Abhishek Jha said, adding that the government of PM Narendra Modi, in the last nine years, should have given jobs to 18 crore youths at the rate of promised 2 crore jobs per year. "It would have been better if he had asked the BJP ruled states to allow youths from other states also to seek jobs there," Jha added.
