Heat & humidity at exam centre kill pupil in Bihar`s Samastipur

PATNA: A student died due to excessive heat and humid conditions while writing his BA Part-1 paper inside the examination hall at Sant Kabir College under Mufassil police station area in Samastipur district on Thursday. The victim was identified as Amit Kumar (21). Following the incident, enraged students vandalized the college property. Some local residents also created a ruckus on the road. The police had to use a mild force to disperse the mob.According to police, Amit was a student of Baliram Bhagat College. Students alleged that there were no arrangements of fan and water in the examination hall. Mufassil SHO Praveen Kumar Mishra said, "The student was alive at the college campus. But agitating students didnt let the college employees admit him to a hospital. Police later took him to the sadar hospital where he was given oxygen through the ventilator, but he could not survive."
