PATNA: The frauds are adopting new techniques everyday to earn money in the state capital. The latest case has been reported from Gola Road in Danapur area where some frauds handed over illegal weapons in the hands of minor boys on the pretext of training, made videos and uploaded to social media sites. Later, they raised money from their parents in the name of removing the videos from the social sites.Danapur police cracked the case and arrested three persons in this connection. The arrested persons are a man and his two sons. A countrymade pistol and three live cartridges have also been recovered from them. While one person managed to escape from the spot.Danapur SHO Samrat Deepak said, "Residents of Abhinav Vihar Colony gave information that some persons are involved in illegal activities. They alleged that some people of the colony were training small children how to use pistols. While training, they also made videos and clicked their photographs. After recording, they used to threaten the parents to upload the videos to social media sites. Then they used to demand huge amounts from their family members to remove the content. As per their complaint, the children were below 15 years of age. However, no physical evidence was submitted related to the complaint."The accused have been identified as Prakash Ranjan, Shivam Ranjan and Manish Ranjan. They were sent to judicial custody under Arms Act.
