Rs 20 lakh looted from two finance firm staff in Patna

PATNA: Motorcycle-borne criminals looted a bag containing Rs 20 lakh from two employees of a private finance company at Budh Vihar Colony under the Agamkuan police station area here on Thursday.The incident took place around 11am when Ranjit Kumar, the branch manager of the firm, and Nitish Kumar, assistant branch manager, were on way to a Union Bank of India branch on Bhoothnath Road to deposit the amount. Two criminals on separate bikes intercepted them at gunpoint and looted the cash.Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Rajiv Mishra, who visited the crime spot, asked the special cell of Patna police to investigate the matter.City superintendent of police (east) Sandeep Singh said footage of CCTV cameras installed in the locality was being scanned to identify the criminals and arrest them."The victims have not filed a written complaint yet. However, we have begun an investigation into the matter," SHO of Agamkuan police station, Sudhir Kumar, said.
