Shah likely to reach Darbhanga today

PATNA: The BJP is making all efforts to make Union home minister Amit Shahs visit to the state a success. Shah will address a rally at Jhanjharpur on Saturday and then fly to Jogbani near the Indo-Nepal border in Araria district to inaugurate the newly constructed residential complex for the Sashastra Seema Bal jawans near the integrated check post.Although the details of Shahs itinerary have not been released by the BJP yet, he is expected to reach Darbhanga in the evening on Friday and hold an interactive meeting with the members of the partys state core committee the same day.After inaugurating the residential complex for the SSB jawans at Jogbani, Shah will also address 1,000 select active workers of the party from Araria district. BJPs Araria MP Pradeep Kumar Singh will also be present.Shah will first address the partys rally in the morning at Lalit Karpoori Stadium at Jhanjharpur. The German hanger, which has become the hallmark of the BJPs rallies addressed by its top guns, is being also erected at the venue. Shahs visit and night stay at Darbhanga for the rally at Jhanjharpur in adjoining Madhubani district is part of his "prawas yatra" for the select 10 parliamentary constituencies in the state whose election outcomes are considered unpredictable.Meanwhile, local MPs Gopaljee Thakur of Darbhanga and Ashok Yadav of Jhanjharpur, along with other party functionaries, including leaders of opposition in the state assembly and legislative council, have been camping in the area to mobilise maximum possible turnout for the rally.State BJP chief Samrat Chaudhary and general secretary (organisation) Bhikhubhai Dalsaniya, who were camping in the area, reached Patna on Thursday to introduce newly appointed office-bearers to the partys general secretary incharge Vinod Tawde.
