PATNA: The state BJP leaders are leaving no stone unturned to make Union home minister Amit Shahs rally in Madhubanis Jhanjharpur a success on Saturday. They have appealed to the people to attend the rally in large numbers.Top party leaders like Union minister of state for home Nityanand Rai, Darbhanga MP Gopal Jee Thakur and former state BJP president Sanjay Jaiswal on Friday took to social media platforms to appeal to the people to attend the rally. The selection of Jhanjharpur for Shahs rally assumes much political significance as of the five Lok Sabha seats in the Mithila region, three are currently held by the Grand Alliance. Earlier, BJP president J P Nadda was schedule to hold a rally there on June 24. However, his visit was postponed for certain reasons."We are hopeful that Shahs rally will leave its massive impact on five LS seats in north Bihar - Jhanjharpur, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Supaul and Madhepura," a senior party leader said. So far, Shah has addressed public rallies in Purnia, Sitabdiara (Saran), Valmikinagar, Nawada and Lakhisarai.Analysts said even as the BJP has already been working hard to repeat its 2019 LS polls performance, the formation of opposition INDIA bloc has worried the saffron camp. "The BJP is trying to reach out to the voters in each and every corner of the state before the dates for LS elections are announced," sources said. The problem for the BJP is that it doesnt have a strong ally like the JD(U) this time. "Although the BJP has entered into an alliance with parties like the Rashtriya Lok Janata Dal and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), they have very limited presence in the state. Also, there exits conflicts between two factions of the erstwhile LJP. So, there is enough pressure on the BJP this time," a political analyst said. However, party vice-president Santosh Pathak said there was nothing to worry since they have already made all preparations and activated the organisation. "The party leadership has identified 10 difficult LS seats in the state and we are just focusing on them," Pathak said.
