PATNA: Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday dismissed speculations in the political circles about him switching sides again to be part of the NDA, saying his prime concern right now is the development of the country."I dont pay any attention to such talks. I only think about the public interests and my focus is on the development of the country," Nitish told mediapersons.Speculations about Nitish returning to the NDA had gained ground right since he attended the G20 summit dinner hosted by President Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi on September 9. Nitish was seen interacting with PM Narendra Modi in a very jovial mood at the event.A climax in their "bonhomie" came when Modi introduced Nitish to US president Joe Biden as President Murmu and Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren looked on.However, just days after the G20 dinner, JD(U) national president Rajiv Ranjan alias Lalan Singh pitched for Nitish as oppositions PM face. However, JD(U) spokesperson Ranbir Nandan favoured Modi and Nitish to come together again in the "countrys interests" as both "enjoy a clean image and are totally against dynastic politics."Interacting with mediapersons after paying floral tributes to former CM late Bhola Paswan Shastri on his birth anniversary, Nitish also said census should be conducted immediately.
