PATNA: Deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Thursday vented his ire on media in his 'Dil ki baat' series and accused the BJP of targeting his father and RJD boss Lalu Prasad along with other family members."Lalu ji has been active in politics for almost 40 years and media has been targeting him. Of late some newsmen under influence of BJP, which has always tried to malign image of Lalu ji," said Tejashwi.He said recently people raised questions on doctors of a government hospital attending his father. "If my family members get treated at a private hospital, people say that we do so because condition of government hospitals is not good and only poor go there. Media always targets our family," he added.Targeting the cow vigilantes, he said that Lalu is a real 'gau sevak' but never tried to take mileage and media never reported his contribution in protection of cows. "My family hosts lunch for thousands of people every year on Makar Sankranti, but media just report on VIPs and ignore the social and welfare part of the event," he said, adding, "All this would not end Lalu ji's charm in politics as he has blessing of millions of people."
