Kali Puja pandal hoppers in for a visual treat this year

Ranchi: Kali Puja celebrations are set to be a visual extravaganza with various pandals across the city showcasing unique and diverse themes. From replicas of Kedarnath and Madurai temples to a grand celebration marking the 50th anniversary of the Shri Lalpur Bazaar Kali Puja Samiti, the festivities are gearing up to be a sight to behold.The Shri Shri Kali Puja Committee Bajrang Club is pulling out all t stops with their replica of the Kedarnath theme pandal in Kokar.This pandal will span 30 feet in width and stand 40 feet tall with electrical decorations, colourful fountains, and attractive arched gates.The Lalpur Bazaar Kali Puja Samiti is commemorating their 50th anniversary with a budget of around Rs6 lakh dedicated to creating a stunning temple. Samity vice-president Avinash Pandey said, The temple will feature attractive decorations."The Maa Bhavani Club Kali Puja Committee is coming up with a replica of the majestic Madurai Temple. The pandal will feature a maha aarti inspired by the Ganga Aarti at Baba Vishwanath temple. There will be decorative archways and lighting structures along the approach road, creating a grand display of the Shri Ram Temple from Ayodhya through intricate electrical decorations.Not to be outdone, the Mahanagar Kali Puja Samiti is also making waves with their imaginative temple replica with a budget of around Rs5 lakh at Kutchery Chowk. Some parks, such as Deshapriya Park and Northern Park, are still inaccessible to the public due to the unfinished dismantling work. Residents are demanding a speedy restoration of the parks and criticizing the KMC for their lack of action.Rajinikanths fan dedicates a temple to the superstar actor at his Madurai homeA fan of Indian actor Rajinikanth has built a temple dedicated to the superstar in his house in Madurai. The temple features a 250 kg idol of Rajinikanth, who is known for his charisma and style. The fan, Karthi, said that Rajinikanth is like a god to him and other fans. Rajinikanth, who was last seen in the movie Jailer, has signed up for two new films and is currently shooting for Thalaivar 170 directed by TJ Gnanavel. He will also appear in a cameo role in the movie Lal Salaam.Remove puja banners, frames by weekendThe Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) has sent notices to puja committees to remove bamboo structures holding banners and flexes. Mayor Firhad Hakim expressed his disappointment over the delay in removing these structures, which are causing traffic issues. If the structures are not removed by the weekend, the civic body will do the work and confiscate the bamboo. Hakim also raised concerns about the restoration of roads that were dug up for pandals or illumination, stating that they pose a threat to citizens and should be repaired promptly.
