Quack arrested near Thanjavur

THANJAVUR: Police arrested a 63-year-old quack , who was running a clinic at Mela Thirupoonthuruthi in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu. Investigations revealed that the quack, identified as S Manoharan, had studied only up to Class X. However, he could not produce relevant documents and certificates in support of his claim, officials said.The Nadukavery police registered a case and arrested him. Police said Manoharan had been running a clinic in South Raja Veethi near his residence for several years.Based on a complaint, the joint director of medical services, Kumbakonam, conducted a raid at clinic on Thursday. Manoharan claimed that he was a Siddha doctor.
