Driver, cleaner injured as truck turns turtle

Trichy: A truck driver and a cleaner were injured when their vehicle lost balance and turned upside down near Manachanallur in Trichy district on Thursday morning.The driver, Kumar and cleaner Lakshmanan, who sustained multiple injuries, were admitted to the Manachanallur government hospital, where they received treatment. Both of them hail from Manapparai.According to a source, the incident happened around 6.45am at Manpidimangalam village after the truck crossed Gunaseelam and was approaching No.1 Toll Gate. Manachanallur police conducted investigation regarding the incident. At this point, Kumar who attempted to give way to another truck and a bus which were coming from behind, suddenly lost balance resulting in the vehicle turning upside down and falling on the roadside.Upon seeing this, the general public rescued the two from the truck and rushed them to the Manachanallur GH.
