Trichy: Two people were killed on spot and another was injured in an accident a car hit a motorcycle on NH 45B Trichy - Madurai – Tuticorin highway near Viralimalai on Wednesday.The deceased have been identified as M Vaidyanathan 60, A Govindan 72, both hailing from Rajagiri village near Viralimalai. While they were crossing highway, a car from Trichy hit the motorcycle killing Vaidyanathan and Vellaisamy on the spot. V Vellaisamy, 50, who was riding the motorcycle, sustained grievous injuries and was admitted to hospitalThe incident happened around 11 am on Wednesday when all the three were returning from Viralimalai town to their village on a motorcycle.
