Bike-borne men snatch two sovereigns gold chain

When they came close to her, the pillion rider grabbed the chain around her neck and snatched it with full force. Unaware of their motive, the woman continued her walking. The miscreants then fled the spot before the woman could react. She also suffered injuries on her neck. She lodged a complaint with Srirangam police.

TRICHY: Two unidentified men robbed a 45-year-old woman of her two sovereign gold chain at Srirangam in the city on Thursday evening.B Vanathi, resident of Periyar Nagar at Thiruvanaikaval in Srirangam was on her usual evening walk in the area when the bike-born assailants struck her at 7:10pm on Thursday.Police said that the men wore helmet and approached her from the opposite direction. Unaware of their motive, the woman continued her walking. When they came close to her, the pillion rider grabbed the chain around her neck and snatched it with full force. The miscreants then fled the spot before the woman could react. She lodged a complaint with Srirangam police. She also suffered injuries on her neck.
