Even tsunami can’t separate us: OPS on ties with Tamil Nadu CM

Both of them alleged that vested interests were working overtime to drive a wedge between them.Going a step further, Panneerselvam said, “Even a tsunami from all sides cannot create a rift between EPS and me. Under the leadership of EPS, we both are ably running the government as well as the party. Any plot from within and outside the party to separate us will never succeed,” said OPS . The chief minister too affirmed that “conspiracies by enemies to separate us will get defeated with the help of party supporters.” The duo along with other ministers were attending the marriage of Tamil Nadu housing board chairman P K Vairamuthu’s son in Pudukkottai.Speaking to reporters at Trichy airport, chief minister EPS said that he had appealed against the high court verdict on CBI investigation into corruption charges against him. “The court never said that there was any irregularity in allocation of highways project,” he said. On the plans to construct check dams across Cauvery river to retain water, he said a committee headed by retired PWD officials were analyzing the possibilities and steps would be taken based on their reports.On his way to Trichy by road, the CM stopped at Kalamavur to meet students at a special school. After spending some time there, he started towards Trichy. However, he stopped again on Thanjavur bypass road seeing an accident involving two motor cycles. He waited till the ambulance arrived to take the injured, Murugesan, to the hospital before resuming his journey.
