In Tiruvarur district, Monday will be a holiday for schools only. In Mayiladuthurai division, respective headmasters of schools would be deciding upon whether it would be a holiday depending on the extent of damage due to cyclone. Trichy: In order to carry out inspections and rescue operations in cyclone-hit regions in the state, four districts -- Pudukottai, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur and Thanjavur -- have declared holidays for schools and colleges or both on Monday.Nagapattinam collector S Sureshkumar announced that both government and private schools and colleges -- within Nagapattinam revenue division – will remain closed on Monday to conduct rescue operations.
