MBBS aspirant cheated of Rs 10 lakh

Raja, in his complaint, said that the transaction of money took place on August 20, 2018. Hence, he lodged a complaint on Friday with the CCB and the case was registered. The police sources said that they were yet to catch the accused. On the other hand, the complainant found that the document issued was a fake one.The repeated attempts by the student to get either seat or the cash back went in vain. On receiving the money from him, they gave him a document in the name of Asia Metropolitan University in Malaysia but they did not proceed with further procedures.After waiting for some time, the complainant and his parents asked for the documents related to admission and his travel.

TRICHY: City crime branch (CCB) police in Trichy, on Friday, registered a case when an MBBS aspirant was cheated of Rs 10 lakh by a three-member gang on the promise of getting him a medicine seat in Malaysia.The police booked Pradeep Alexander in Kodaikanal in Dindigul district, K Karthikeya from Bharathi Nagar in Trichy and J Andrew from Puthur in Trichy for cheating the student C Raja from Ramalinga Nagar in Trichy.According to the complaint, Pradeep got in touch with Raja through Karthikeya and Andrew in August this year with an offer to arrange for an MBBS seat in a Malaysian university.The trio demanded for Rs 10 lakh from Raja for the seat. Raja, in his complaint, said that the transaction of money took place on August 20, 2018.
