Postal dak adalat to be held on Oct 6

Trichy: The postal department will be conducting a regional-level Dak Adalat in Trichy on October 6 to hear the grievances of customers and solve them. The authorities have asked the customers to send their grievances through post on or before September 29. The complaints relating to mails should contain details such as date and time of posting, complete address of the sender and addressee, registration receipt number with the date and office of booking for money order or registered or insured or speed post articles, said T Nirmala Devi, postmaster general of the central region – Tamil Nadu, in a press release. tnnWe also published the following articles recentlyResolve public grievances at dist level: DCThe Divisional Commissioner of Lucknow, Roshan Jacob, has directed district officials to address complaints filed by residents within a week and to avoid making locals run to Lucknow for administrative matters that can be handled at the district level. During her visit to Sitapur, she heard 183 matters related to land disputes, inheritance tussles, and family or neighbor conflicts, and instructed officials to resolve them in a timely manner. Jacob also criticized the municipal corporation for its lackadaisical approach towards drainage network construction.Meeting to review Puri, Nayagarh grievances heldA high-level meeting was held by the Chief Ministers office in Bhubaneswar to address grievances from residents of Puri and Nayagarh. Lease terms of land in Puri will be regularized, and a survey will be completed within 20 days. A drinking water project in Nayagarh will also be executed, with clearances obtained and a tender floated. In Coimbatore, the mayor received 29 petitions addressing issues such as poor roads and water supply problems. A trial run of the Puri-Rourkela Vande Bharat Express took place, with plans to start operations soon. Tangedco scheduled a grievance meeting for electricity consumers in Chennai.Shah releases two postal covers on state martyrsUnion Home Minister Amit Shah has released special postal covers in Hyderabad to commemorate the martyrs Shoebullah Khan and Ramji Gond. Khan, a journalist, was killed by the Razakars for his writings against the Nizam, while Gond was a Gond leader who fought against British encroachment. The covers are available at various post offices in Hyderabad and across the state.
