Three of family attempt immolation outside Anand collectorate

Vimla’s another son – Ranjit – too has a couple of prohibition cases against him.The woman along with her sons was camping outside the district collectorate premises since Wednesday morning. It was around 4.30 pm that she along with her two sons doused themselves with kerosene and attempted to immolate self.Anand police detained the trio and presented them before executive magistrate after which they were granted bail. Vadodara/ Anand: Three persons including a woman and her two sons attempted to immolate self outside district collectorate premises in Anand on Wednesday afternoon.Cops who were present at the premises managed to foiled their immolation bid and took them to Anand town police station.The woman – Vimla Mali, a resident of Lalpura village of Anand’s Anklav taluka, had earlier threatened to immolate self along with her sons alleging that Anklav police had wrongly framed her son – Kamlesh in a prohibition case.She alleged that on June 1, Anklav police had booked her son who was later beaten up by the cops.Police, however, said that Kamlesh was booked after the cops had raided the family’s residence near Lalpura primary school where the family was running a liquor den.
