Land broker jumps from seventh floor

Vadodara: A real estate broker living in Nizampura ended his life by jumping off seventh floor of a building in GMERS Medical College and Hospital on Monday midnight.Deceased Hitesh Shah (49) was admitted to the hospital on Monday after he complained of vomiting. This could be one of the possibilities for taking extreme step,” said a police official.A case of accidental death was registered at Gorwa police station. Vaijanti then rushed downstairs only to see Shah’s lying in a pool of blood.Shah’s family members raised questions on the hospital’s responsibility as there were no grills in the window. In the meantime, she heard commotion in the hospital’s foyer. Late on Monday night, he told his wife Vaijanti that he wants to use the washroom and she accompanied him.Sources said that after waiting for around 30 minutes when Shah did not come out, his wife knocked the toilet’s door.

But when he did not answer, she got scared. In the meantime, she heard commotion in the hospital’s foyer. Vaijanti then rushed downstairs only to see Shah’s lying in a pool of blood.Shah’s family members raised questions on the hospital’s responsibility as there were no grills in the window. Meanwhile, cops took custody of his body and sent it to SSG Hospital for post-mortem.Police said that the exact reason behind Shah’s suicide could be known as he did not leave any suicide note.“He had a live disease because of which he was often falling ill. This could be one of the possibilities for taking extreme step,” said a police official.A case of accidental death was registered at Gorwa police station.
