Three booked for endangering lives

Four commercial establishments located beside Banani’s building were also damaged. Setul and Ritesh, who are brothers, had demolished the original structure on the land and were planning to build a commercial building.Banani told police that since the accused did not heed to his warning and continued with their construction activity, the building collapsed and he suffered heavy losses. The complaint also stated that the damage caused to furniture, equipment and the building cost him Rs 42 lakh.Police said that they have registered a case of endangering life and personal safety and causing damages , but none of the accused has been arrested.On the morning of March 12 when the building had collapsed, around a dozen people including the labourers working at the construction site had a narrow escape.
