GNFC posts highest-ever Profit Before Tax this year

Not only this, the GNFC also did the highest-ever export this year of Rs.361 crore to 55 countries and the highest-ever term debt repayment of Rs. 780 crore along with highest ever (n) code – IT division turnover of Rs. 189 crore and profit of Rs.51 crore.

In its 41 years of establishment, Gujarat Narmada Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (GNFC) posted highest-ever Profit Before Tax (PBT) of Rs. 715 crore during financial year 2016-17.

The PBT deposited by GNFC saw an increment by 167% as compared to last year PBT of Rs.268 crore.

Not only this, the GNFC also did the highest-ever export this year of Rs.361 crore to 55 countries and the highest-ever term debt repayment of Rs. 780 crore along with highest ever (n) code – IT division turnover of Rs. 189 crore and profit of Rs.51 crore.

When GNFC MD Dr. Rajiv Gupta was asked how he managed to make GNFC achieve heights, which no one could in last 41 years, he said, “I tried to put in my best. We worked as a dedicated and motivated team both in production and marketing. The rest is to be evaluated objectively by the analysts.”

The organization also marked it’s highest-ever market capitalisation of Rs. 5015 crore and the highest dividend of Rs. 5 per share @ 50 % for financial year 2016-17.

Hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi he said, “We have been given unprecedented encouragement by Prime Minister of India and Chief Minister of Gujarat. Our Board of Directors headed by Chief Secretary has supported us all through.”

Since GNFC has been breaking all records, NYOOOZ asked the Managing Director about their next financial goal, he said, “We want to develop Neem-based FMCG product portfolio in a big way”.

The GNFC Bharuch Township, which is 100% cashless, produces high-neem content products from the neem which is left after producing neem-coated urea.

From soap to fertilizers, GNFC’s in-house neem products factory manufactures wide-range of pure neem products like neem oil, neem cake, neem mosquito-repellant and much more.
