VADODARA: A 25-year-old woman residing in Limda village of Waghodia taluka confessed of chopping her braid on Tuesday morning so that she could visit her parents' home in Surat without arguing with her husband.Raveena Solanki complained to her husband Pravin on Tuesday morning that her braid got chopped off mysteriously. "She told us that she chopped her braid on Monday night when her husband was asleep and the next morning after taking bath she told him that her braid got chopped off," the police official said. After watching the video she decided to chop off her braid so that she can go and meet her parents without arguing with her husband. Pravin, who works as a peon in Waghodia-based Parul University , took Solanki to Waghodia police station to register a complaint.Police doubted Solanki's version and questioned her further. "When we interrogated her, she confessed that she chopped her braid because she wanted to visit her parents' house in Surat," said a police official.Solanki told the police that her husband had showed her a video on a website in which she learnt that several women's braids were getting chopped off mysteriously.
