4 from Navsari die in accident

Those injured include three-year-old Vruti Patel and six-year-old Krishna Patel - daughters of Teena and Mukesh Patel, both of whom passed away in the gruesome accident. Priti Sandeep Patel, Divya Patel, 18, Kailash Patel and her son Jigar Patel, 17 are presently undergoing treatment at Karamsad hospital.Petlad rural police have registered a complaint of Rajesh Patel against the truck driver who fled from the spot after the accident. Champak Patel, who was driving the car, Rajesh's 17-year-old daughter Brijal Patel and 30-year-old Teena Patel died on the spot.Teena's husband Mukesh Patel succumbed to his injuries at Karamsad-based Shree Krishna Hospital where he was shifted with seven other passengers for treatment. Police sources said Rajesh Patel had rented a car from their village for a tour to Salangpur, Bhavnagar, Somnath, Dwarka and Girnar.The family, which had left on the tour on August 31, was on its way back to their village after offering prayers at Chamunda Mata Temple at Chotila on Sunday morning.When their car reached near Dantali village past midnight, a truck rammed into their vehicle which left three persons dead on the spot while eight other passengers received injuries.
