- | Friday | 3rd August, 2018
A team of urban sketchers from different countries visited Amaravati and sketched the heritage housing of 33 villages comprising the upcoming capital city. An MoU would be signed between the Singapore delegation and the ANU to facilitate preparation of a draft of architectural designs of the new capital. The team along with the students of architecture is documenting the land pooled villages. The Director, Institutional Development, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Singapore, Eric Tan on Thursday visited the university campus and called on Vice-Chancellor A. Rajendra Prasad. Mr. Tan said that the drawings had depicted the native traditions in Amaravati and would pave the way for integrating the rural lifestyle in the urban agglomeration in the new capital.
