more-in Nutan Kumar Victor, who allegedly attacked beautician Palle Padma at Hanuman Junction in Krishna district recently, had conspired to kill her brutally, as she refused to continue the relationship with him. The accused reportedly inflicted severe injuries on her hands and other parts on August 25 before escaping. Padma, who was married and has two children, was allegedly in a live-in relationship with Victor, who was also married. They reportedly developed friendship when they were working at a showroom at Eluru four years ago. The woman recently started a beauty parlour in Hanuman Junction and they rented a house there. However, differences allegedly cropped up between them when Padma reportedly said that she would go back to her husband. The Hanuman Junction police, who are investigating the case, claimed Victor allegedly sedated Padma before he slashed her using a knife, injuring her hands. After the incident, the accused went to Guntur district on his bike, where he consumed allegedly poison. The body was found near the tracks under the Sattenapalli Government Railway Police Station limits. “We examined the mobile phones call data of Padma and Victor, which tallied. We suspect that only one person committed the offence and the involvement of other person is not established. Padma had a tattoo ‘N’ on her hand and the accused had removed it by cutting the skin with a knife during the attack. However, Padma was not able to tell how he sedated her, the weapon he used and other details, an officer investigating the case said. “The victim is undergoing treatment at a hospital and is recovering. We are trying to find out from where Victor brought the sedative, how he gave it, which weapon he used in the attack and other details”, the investigation officer said.
